Which Ventoso Tire Inflator is right for you?
There's no such thing as a one size fits all Tire Inflator. Something suited for low pressure off road tires won't have the range to tackle high pressure RV tires. Dually or motorcycle wheels require special air chucks that you wouldn't use on your 4x4. Power Tank makes a range of Ventoso Tire Inflators for any tire in any situation and since each Tire Inflator is hand built at our shop in Lodi, CA, we have the ability to mix and match parts for custom solutions. All these options can be a bit overwhelming so let us help you nail down the exact Ventoso that meets your needs.
GAUGES
We'll go through each component, one by one, starting with our gauges. We offer a low pressure and high pressure option in both liquid analog and digital gauges as well as a special Racer Series.
Power Tank analog gauges use silicone oil instead of common glycerin as it doesn't slow down with the cold temperatures of CO2 use. Accuracy is measured as a percentage of the range. Analog gauges are 2% accurate or +/-1.2 psi on 60 psi gauges and +/-3.2 psi on 160 psi gauges. The 60 psi Trooper and the 160 psi Long Haul are our two most popular analog options.
Power Tank digital gauges provide more accuracy and more versatility with the back-lit screen. They are 1% accurate or +/-0.6 psi on 60 psi gauges and +/-1.5 psi on 150 psi gauges. They run on common AAA batteries and are easy to change. The LCD display measures in PSI, KPA, and BAR as well as showing you the current battery level. The 60 psi Overlander and 150 psi Work Horse are the best sellers in the digital category.
Power Tank Racer Series digital gauges are for those needing extreme accuracy. Each gauge is serialized with a matching certificate of accuracy and have special features like storing the base calibration in memory if you ever need to reset it. It has a 0-100 psi range with +/-0.25 psi accuracy. See the full feature set on the Racer Series page.

HOSE WHIP
Next is the hose whip length. Ventoso Tire Inflators use steel-braided hoses for the ultimate in reliability and strength. The 2 ft length is standard and provides enough length to air up while standing, even if the valve stem is at the bottom of the tire.
For beadlock wheels that see a lot of hard, off-road use and high-pressure RV and trailer tires, we recommend the Safety-Series 6 ft hose whip. The extended length gives you "Stand-Away" safety, keeping you out of harms way in the event of a tire blow out from damaged tires or wheels. A tire failure at as low as 10 psi can cause serious injury.
The Trooper (0-60 psi analog), Long Haul (0-160 psi analog), Overlander (0-60 psi digital), Work Horse (5-150 psi digital), and Racer Series (0-100 psi high-accuracy digital) all have a Safety Series option.
TIRE CHUCKS
The last option to consider is the air chuck. This is the piece that connects your tire inflator to the valve stem. Ventoso Tire Inflators now come standard with our HiPPO (Hi-Pressure Push-On) chuck. Push to connect, pull to release, the HiPPO chuck is easier to use and has two points of engagement for a stronger hold on your valve stem.
For hard to reach dually wheels, a dual-head chuck is required. The angled-back is for most dually wheels while the straight back is designed for Alcoa duallys.
Quick-Switch chucks on the Switch-Hitter and Big Kahuna tire inflators offer the best of both worlds. Swap between the HiPPO or Dual-Head chucks on the fly with the same Tire Inflator.
Our original Euro clip-on chucks are also available by custom order. Please contact us at info@powertank.com for custom orders.
