Mounting Idea Gallery
There are as many ways to mount your Power Tank as there are vehicles on the trails. We try to make it easy with a variety of universal and vehicle-specific mounts but don't let that stop you from coming up with something unique!
Jeep Wrangler JK-JKU (2008-2018)
Roll Bar Clamps are available in Small (1.5"-2.0" dia) for most aftermarket roll cages and Large (2.25"-2.5" dia) which fits around the padding on the factory Sports Bar
Another example using Small Roll Bar Clamps. Add a Snorkel Tube upgrade to your Power Tank or spare bottle to allow use while horizontal.
The Behind-the-Seat Mount (BTS Mount) mounts 10 lb and 15 lb Power Tanks with the hard top, soft top, or no top for a low-down mounting option. MOLLE cutouts on top and a pocket below for a Cliffhanger Bag, gives you additional storage and mounting.
10 lb and 15 lb Power Tanks can mount directly to the factory Sports Bar with Large Roll Bar Clamps. The dome light wire on the passenger side fits in a notch in the roll bar clamp to not get pinched.
The Floor Bracket is a removable wedge mount to decrease the footprint of your Power Tank over a horizontal mount. A Snorkel Tube is not necessary in this 30 deg angled mount.
This is a custom install into the rear door using nutserts.
This 10 lb Power Tank fits just so underneath a slant-back hard top while mounted to the factory Sports Bar.
This Power Tank was added on to a beefed up tire carrier. Make sure to check clearances to prevent taillight damage.

Can you spot both Power Tanks? One is on an aftermarket roll bar. The other sits horizontally below the cargo basket.
Jeep Wrangler JL-JLU (2018+)
The Wrangler no longer has a round sports bar. The Sports Bar Mount uses pre-threaded holes in the Sports Bar. Driver and passenger sides available. Limited to 10 lb Power Tank.

A 10 lb Power Tank sits snugly in the rear corner using the Sports Bar Mount, taking up, otherwise, unused space.
The Sports Bar Mount is offered as a Driver or Passenger side mount. The 30 ft hose can easily reach all four tires without dismounting the Power tank.
Jeep Gladiator JT (2018+)
Bed racks make a solid mounting point. The Leitner Rack universal mounting plate just needs a small modification to fit the hole pattern on Power Tank brackets.
This is another Leitner Rack on a Gladiator but the Power Tank is mounted to the front of the bed on a MOLLE plate. Make sure the regulator is reachable from the outside and install a snorkel tube for this out-of-the-way mount.
MotoBilt makes an incredible steel bobbed bed replacement with accessories like the MOLLE Panel on top. Pair it with the MotoBilt Power Tank mount to distribute the load evenly, increasing strength.
When you're putting in a custom bed cage, it's simple to make custom Power Tank mounts for it!
The Power tank tucked away on this headache rack was simple to mount. It could also be mounted horizontally on the top bars using roll bar clamps.
When mounting to the bed side like this, make sure to triangulate the mount so that the bottom of the bracket is supported and it's nice and secure.

The Super Brackets for these Power Tanks were simply nut and bolted directly to the bed side.
This is another style of Bed Rack with a Power Tank that bolts right up.
Bed Side MOLLE Panels are useful for any truck. Mount your Power Tank, bags, and other gear! This is a BuiltRight system with a Power Plate.
Check the weight limits of your MOLLE Panels and ensure they are triangulated and not just mounted with two bolts to the bed rail. This is a BuiltRight system with a Power Plate.
These MotoBilt MOLLE Panels require a few nutserts to be installed in to the bed, but they are the strongest panels we have found and are what we continue to use. The Power Plate makes mounting to any MOLLE panel easy.
Classic Jeeps
This is an early Power Tank using Roll Bar Clamps on the factory roll cage.
Roll Bar Clamps work on the factory cage with padding, without padding, and aftermarket cages. Two sizes: Small - 1.5"-2.0" and Large - 2.25"-2.5"
This Power Tank is mounted on the angled Floor Bracket on the shelf of this TJ. All the gear is close at hand and ready at a moment's notice.
Are you seeing a pattern? Roll Bar Clamps are the easiest and most secure way to mount your Power Tank. Tested in Race conditions.
If you're not bombing through trails, a mount can be as simple as self-tappers through the metal sides of your cargo area. Make sure it's not simply plastic trim.
While it looks simple, this Power Tank mount has a plate on the back side of the trim to distribute the load and strengthen the mount.
This Power Tank has a snorkel tube installed so it can be used without being removed from the bracket.
Another Roll Bar Mount to the Sports Bar/Roll Cage of this CJ.
Before the Gladiator debuted, Bruiser Conversions cut the back off a Wrangler and made their own custom bed turning it into a custom chase truck. With, of course, twin Power Tanks on either side.
This Power Tank and Super Bracket are simply mounted to the bed of this MJ Jeep.
Like the CJ above, this Power Tank can be used horizontally with the installed Snorkel Tube.
The 10 lb Power Tank can fit around the stock TJ Roll Cage with padding using the Large Roll Bar Clamps. It fits well under the hard top.
Toyotas
The Floor Mount was designed for truck beds. The angled bracket and Power Tank can be removed as one unit for use outside the truck. A 10 lb Power Tank would fit under the bed sides, for use with a tonneau cover.
Power Tanks are mounted easily to nearly any flat surface, like this tire carrier swing out. Easy to access and air up gear like hoses could be mounted to the side of the Power Tank or behind it.
The Pandra ended up upgrading from a single 10 lb Power Tank to a 15 lb Power Tank and a 11 lb Propane tank and Strato Bracket.
A similar CBI Dual Swingout, this time on a Tacoma instead of a Tundra.
This tire carrier had an extra arm welded to it to support a 11 lb propane tank and Strato Bracket.
Even the most serious Overland vehicles use Power Tank brackets. This 11 lb propane tank and Strato Bracket is bolted to a Patriot Camper Tray Bed on this Tundra.
This 15 lb Power Tank is mounted horizontally to the bedside using MOLLE panels. A Snorkel Tube allows horizontal use.
This is another Leitner Rack on a Gladiator but the Power Tank is mounted to the front of the bed on a MOLLE plate.
This mount is a bolt-in to the rear of a 5th gen 4Runner. It fits a 10 lb Power Tank or a 5 lb or 11 lb propane tank.
Many Chase Racks, including this one from SDHQ, can be optioned with a Power Tank mount.
Horizontal Power Tank mounts like this benefit from a Snorkel Tube Install so they can be used without leaving the mount.
Power Tanks are easy to mount to any bed rack. The Universal Mounting Plate as part of the Leitner Rack System is what we recommend (minor modifications required).
Bronco 6th Gen (2021+)
Bespoke Roll Bar Clamps to fit the Bronco roll bar profile and a hardened steel plate make this one of the stiffest Power Tank mounts we offer. There is a driver and passenger side mount.
Close up of the same mount. The plate has additional mounting points to add a fire extinguisher using an optional Billet Quick-Release bracket as well as an optional MOLLE plate to the front.
The optional Billet Quick-Release can also be used to mount a Power Shot bottle or Pro-Eagle CO2 jack.
This mount works for Raptor and non-Raptor Broncos. The cutout fits around the additional roll bar bracing. Billet roll bar clamps and additional support using a factory threaded bung make this extremely stiff. Add an optional Billet Quick-Release bracket for an easy to reach fire extinguisher.
The 2dr Bronco Plate fits behind the rear seats, maximizing the limited cargo room. MOLLE cutouts allow the addition of a small bag (sold separately) or an optional Billet Quick-Release Bracket. Bolt-in install. Driver side only.
A 10 lb Power Tank fits perfectly. The 15 lb Power Tank will not fit with the rear seats up. Rear seats must be down or removed to be used with a 15 lb Power Tank.
This install utilizes the MOLLE cutouts to mount some useful electronics and a flashlight.
The sky is the limit for Power Tank mounts. The FabFours tire carrier delete is the widest on the market, giving the most mounting area. Both a 15 lb Power Tank and a 5 lb propane tank and Teton bracket fit on the tailgate.
